As many teenagers know, the key to achieving higher social status is wearing the right labels;-). This obviously also applies to the area of wine. Bottles need to have labels with the right ‘small print’. Especially in France an other ‘old’ wine countries, copy on a label is essential to determine quality. If you ask me, most of the time this results in somewhat boring designs (we can all recall the pen-drawing of a chateaux with centered text in classic font;-)).
Last month I was in Australia, exploring the Margaret River Wine Area and surprisingly enough, a lot of bottles had some very creative artwork on their labels. Maybe it has something to do with Australia being a ‘younger’ wine country, with different regulations that allow more space for graphic design? Curious to learn more about it….
I believe that is among the such a lot significant info for me.
