Like Dorothy, from Wizard of Oz, all you have to do is click these shoes to go home. Even better, this pair will guide you to any given destination in the world, isn’t that amazing?
The left shoe points in the desired direction, the right shoe acts as a progress bar to show how close you are to the destination. But first you have to upload that place to the shoes with a piece of mapping software and a USB. The GPS is embedded in the heel and activated by (here it comes;-)) a heel click!! You can check out which way you need to go by looking at the direction of the LED lights. Check out this clip to see how it works. I love it;-)
Dominic Wilcox has created this fully functional prototype pair of shoes as a commission for the Global Footprint project in Northhamptonshire, a place traditionally famous for it’s shoe making industry. He called it: No place like home;-)
