DIY Geometric Notebooks

papercrave

I love notebooks and I love DIY projects so to me, the Curious Doodles items are irresistible. You can find this geometric embroidery kit here in Curious Doodles’ Etsy shop. Each kit comes with two perforated and ready-to-stitch notebooks, red and teal thread and you can use the pattern included in the kit or create your own.

Laura Trimmell, artist behind Curious Doodles: ‘When I looked at embroidery kits out there, I couldn’t find anything that appealed to my aesthetics. This is when I started applying my own graphic sensibilities to a very old craft. I love mixing the old and the new by combining Redwork stitching with paper and wood.’ I totally found my Sunday afternoon project;-) (via)

Inspiration: Spontaneous Celebrations Pack

in the events of spontanious celebration

The past months some tough things happened in our close circle of family and friends. This weekend I was talking with Willem about how to break that negative cycle of feeling depressed and down about it all the time.

We concluded that we should celebrate and play more. Instead of taking for granted all the good things in our lives, we really made a commitment to notice them and feel happy about it. This little confetti-pack in our wallets would be a perfect reminder. Always ready for spontaneous celebrations;-). What a great idea Samantha!

Creative Travels

journeyjournal1

Ohh how I love new places and great paper products. This Journey Journal presents the best of both worlds. Especially the front of the Journal is totally awesome. It features a map of Asia in which you can place the round fasteners (6) that come with your journal, on your destinations! But it doesn’t end there my friends…string is also included so you can make a line map of your travel plans. How cool is that! Designed and made with love and an adventurous mind by Cracked Design. Check out their Etsy shop before you plan your next trip.

New Poster Papercup

Here’s a snapshot of the new A2-size poster I designed and picked up at my print-guy last week. It’s one of a series posters and cards on meaningful sayings. My experience is that words can be more powerful when they’re in constant eyesight. Think of the birthday calendar in a toilet or an old wall tile with a proverb on it. They’re there to remind us of things that are important, right?

I made this poster for the Papercup webshop, but I’ll put one on the wall close to my desk as well… a very important reminder of pursuing my dreams one step at a time;-).

You can pre-order this A2 size poster by email or buy it at papercup.nl a week from now. Damage: HKD150 / EU15 (no shipping costs).
