Number two in the summer-refill popsicle series: the Sangria Pop! This one is super refreshing and healthy. We ate all six of them in a day. Definitely our favourite recipe so far:)! Enjoy summer, dear friends…

Iced Coffee Popsicles
It’s summer… even here in the Netherlands temperatures are on the rise. Regular visitors of our blog will remember the legendary Summer Refill Recipes of 2014 and 2013; some yummy smoothies to boost your energy while working through the hot and steamy season.
This year we turned our logo upside-down to do a Iced Popsicle series. In order to make these brown beauties, you only need a simple ice-cream mould and a couple of wooden sticks.
Brew some strong coffee… keep the coffee in the fridge for half an hour to cool down. In the meantime pour some of the cream (add sugar) into the mould and put it in the freezer. After 2 hours or so, you can add the cold coffee mixed with the cream-leftovers. The next day you can enjoy your favourite coffee in a frozen version:)… Happy weekend!
Coffee Impressionism
What to do during energy-sucking hot and humid weekends in Hong Kong? This type of iced-coffee always gets my creative juices flowing:). Make some strong coffee with your French press, add a lot of ice-cubes and start experimenting with the secret ingredient; spoons full of sweet condensed milk:)! You can find a more detailed recipe here.
To me, coffee and creativity are always connected to each other… whether it’s fuel for conversations with inspiring people or the getting-the-right-state-of-mind drink for a productive morning behind a laptop. How’s that with you:)?
Smoothie Refill Bali-style #3
Refill Bali-style #2
Many people consider drinking carrot juice one of the healthiest lifestyle choices possible. This awesome carrot drink is rich in multivitamins, beta-carotenes and antioxidants that cleans digestive system from toxins. It also helps the body fight against cancer and many other diseases. This recipe -that I took with me from Bali- uses lemon to balance out the sweet taste, with a surprisingly yummy result!

Pimp your Drink
Friends, this weekend I’m off to Bali for a short break. Can’t wait to feel the sand between my toes and have a sip of some colorful drink:).
Do you want to arrange some instant-holiday-vibes for yourself? This fun and easy-peasy ‘recipe’ will pimp any drink (you can hardly call it a recipe actually:)). Get some mint-leaves from your balcony garden and put them in an ice-cube-mould with some water. Place the mould in the freezer and… look what comes out; these awesome green ice-cubes! You can do the same thing with slices of lime. Enjoy your cocktail or lemonade:)
Coffee Infographic
Coffee: Is there anything it can’t do? I just read this interesting article on the website of Time-magazine about a coffee-powered car that broke a World Record this past week. Isn’t that amazing? In honor to that, I’d like to share with you an info-graphic about how to brew the perfect cup. After all it’s also important to keep your own engine running;-)
The New York based designers of Plaid Creative made this one. I really like the simplicity of the design. Check out their website here.
Refill Recipe #5: Banana/Pear/Cinnamon Milkshake
Today I spent three endless hours at the Immigration Department of Hong Kong to get an extension of my visa. You know that atmosphere when there are too many stressed people in an ugly ‘we don’t care’ space? Well that’s what happened to me this morning;-). I tried to make some conversation with people, but you had to stay focussed all the time. They could shout your name and than you had to jump up to go to a counter for more questions or forms;-). Boy, was I happy to go home and make this fresh banana/pear/cinnamon milkshake! Feel free to try it too, in stressful times;-).
Healthy Smoothie Cards
Happy 2013! How’s everyone doing with New Years resolutions;-)? I bet most of you want to start live healthier lives in the year ahead. At least that’s one of the things I’m sincerely going to try;-). Maybe these smoothie-cards will help with that. I made a set of seven for Dutch copywriter Zinenzo. Zinenzo requested to develop a smoothie-cards-set with cards for special occasions during the year. They will send them to clients as part of their customer relations policy. I tried to make the recipes as fresh as Zinenzo’s texts are;-).
The orange card is a Queensday smoothie, it contains carrot, fresh ginger, mango and apple juice. The green card is a Spring smoothie, it has banana, pear, fresh mint leaves and milk in it. Check out Zinenzo’s Facebook page, you can find the other recipes and send the smoothies as e-cards (free of charge)!
